Hey everyone,
Just a quick note to say that I'm still alive and kicking over here in France. I've enjoyed a short 3 weeks complete brake from the bike, and have now started my program for 2004. At the moment its nothing serious, just a few rides per week, a couple of times to the gym, and maybe a run, some swimming, swiss ball, or skiing.
Apart from riding, I have been going to French school, as I will be needing to speak French with my team next year! Bianchi is an Italian team, but the manager, Massimo Ghirroto, speaks French, but no English! Its good, as I needed someone to push me a little or I get to lazy.
I will actually be doing my first race for the year this weekend... a small cyclo cross race here in Annecy. I did the same one last year, and I remember that it hurt a lot after 2-3 months without a race! I'm sure it will be the same this weekend.
I will then be spending xmas in Sweden together with Helena and her family, before back home to New Zealand for the first time in 2 years!! Oh how I look forward to that!!! I plan to spend some days in Wanaka, then Dunedin for a week or two, before hitting the Oceania Games in Rotorua and our National champs in Wellington.
Out skiing at Val d'Iseir with some friends from my French class.
